Setting Up Pet Monitor

  • How to charge the N5 Pet Monitoring Device?

    Charging the device

    The device comes with a USB cord and adapter for charging the device.

     

    1. Insert the micro-USB connector at one of the charging cable into the micro-USB charging port of the device and connect the USB end of the cable to the charger
    2. Connect the charger to a power socket as shown in the picture above. 
    3. The power indicator and the charging indicator will glow ‘Red’.
    4. Once charging is completed (after a few hours), the charging indicator will turn off.
    5. But, the power indicator keeps
      glowing as long as the device is plugged into the power socket.

    The device comes pre-activated on the Verizon cellular network, so all you need to do is to charge the device and it latches on to the Verizon cellular network automatically.

  • How to download the RV PetSafety application?

    T25 Device users please click here to download the application.

    Nimble RV PetSafety application is available for both Android and iOS operating systems.

    For Android
    – Go to the Google Play Store on your phone.
    – Search for RV PetSafety application in Play Store.
    – Download and install the application from Nimble Wireless.

    For Apple iOS
    – Go to the App Store on your Apple device.
    – Search for RV PetSafety application in App Store.
    – Download the application from Nimble Wireless.

  • How to log in to the RV PetSafety Application?

    On installing the application, you will be asked to log into the application. Please use your registered email address and mobile number as login credentials. 

    Username: registered email

    Password:  registered mobile number

    Note: Please type the credentials do not copy paste the login credentials.

    Note:  All pet monitoring devices come pre-activated on Verizon USA network at the time of shipping. In case, your device shows activation error or if  you have deactivated your account temporarily please contact product-support@nimblewireless.com for reactivating the device.

Home

The home screen displays The temperature and the health of the device.

Location:

To track the location of the device, click on the ‘Location’ icon on the app and it shows location via GPS

Alerts

The alert tab displays the history of all temperature and battery alerts received.

Settings

Alerts are pre-configured to the Email address, and the Mobile Number provided at the time of order placement. You can add additional Emails and Mobile Numbers in ‘Account Settings’ on the app.

Alerts and Configuration

  • How to change the minimum alert temperature?
    • Go to the Home screen.
    • Below the last reported temperature, the current “Minimum Temperature” is shown.
    • Click on the”pencil-edit-button “ pencil button next to the minimum temperature.
    • Scroll to set the temperature you want to set and click ‘Done’ button to update the minimum temperature.
  • How to change the maximum alert temperature?
    • Go to the Home screen
    • Below the last reported temperature, the current ‘Maximum Alert Temperature’ is shown.
    • Click on the “ pencil-edit-button” pencil button beside the ‘Maximum Alert Temperature’.
    • Scroll to set the temperature you want to set and click ‘Done’ button to update the Maximum temperature.
  • How to change the low battery alert?
    • Go to Settingssetting icons “screen in the application.
    • Under Alert Settings option click ‘Low Battery
    • Choose the ‘Low Battery’ alert percentage from the scroll bar.
    • Click ‘Done

    Note: The minimum percentage of the battery is set to 20% by default.

  • How to Set/change the alert frequency?
    • Go to Settings “ setting icons “screen in the application.
    • Click ‘Alert Frequency’ under ‘Alert Settings’.
    • Choose the alert frequency from the scroll bar.

    You can also choose between day, hours or minutes from the right side dropdown menu

  • How to edit an existing email?
    • Go to Settings “ setting icons “option on the mobile application.
    • Click the “Email” option under Account Settings.
    • To edit an existing E-mail address, click on the email and edit it
    • Click to “Save” to save the edited email address

    Note: We pre-configure the alerts to the Email given at the time of order placement

  • How to add a new email address for alerts?
    • Go to Settings “ setting icons “option on the mobile application.
    • Click the “Email” option under Account Settings.
    • To add a new E-mail address, click Add Email button
    • Add the new email address in the email field
    • Click Save to save the newly added email address
  • How to remove an existing email?
    • Go to Settings “ setting icons “option on the mobile application.
    • Click the “Email” option under Account Settings.
    • To remove an existing E-mail address, click close button in the email address
    • The email will be removed
    • Click Save to save the updated settings
  • How to edit an existing mobile number?
    • Go to Settings “ setting icons “option on the mobile application.
    • Click the “Mobile Number” option under Account Settings.
    • To edit an existing Mobile number, click on the mobile number to edit it
    • Click Save to save the edited mobile number

  • How to add a new mobile number for alerts?
    • Go to Settings “ setting icons “option on the mobile application.
    • Click the “Mobile Number” option under Account Settings.
    • To add a new Mobile number, click Add Mobile button
    • Add the new Mobile number in the mobile field
    • Click Save to save the newly added mobile address
  • How to remove an existing mobile number?
    • Go to Settings “ setting icons “option on the mobile application.
    • Click the “Mobile Number” option under Account Settings.
    • To remove an existing mobile number, click close button in the mobile number
    • The mobile number will be removed
    • Click Save to save the updated settings

Frequently Asked Questions

How frequently does the device send temperature information

The device will send temperature information for every one hour. And, in the case of a critical temperature variation a text and email alert is sent within in seconds. 

Can I set alerts to more than on mobile number/email address?

Yes, you can. Please check this video how to set alerts.

How long will the device battery last?

The device battery will last for 1 – 2 days* on a single charge.

*Depending on network conditions and alert configuration

Where should I place the device to monitor?

Place the RV pet temperature monitor inside the RV pet room or the room you want to monitor. If you are monitoring the temperature inside a car place the device on the car’s dashboard. 

Do I need Wifi/Bluetooth to receive alerts?

Nimble’s RV pet temperature monitor is equipped with a built-in cellular network to send automated text and email alert in real-time. So there is no need for Wifi/BlueTooth.

Is Nimble RV pet temperature monitor water proof?

No, the device is not waterproof. 

Note: Any water damage will void your warranty.

Can I use my existing Verizon account?

No, you cannot add your existing account to the device. Nimble’s pet temperature monitoring devices come pre-activated with a Verizon IoT data plan which cannot be changed.

Can I deactivate my subscription when I am not using the device ?

Yes, you can. Please contact product-support@nimblewireless.com to deactivate/activate your subscription. 

Note: Subscription cancelled after the renewal date will be charged for the whole month.

Is the device rigid enough to sustain falls?

The devices can sustain falls from up to 2 metres. Please note that any physical or water damage will note be covered under warranty

How do I know if the battery levels are low?

You can use the mobile application to check the device battery level in real-time. You can also set a low battery alert  to get a text or email alert when the battery level is critical. 

How do I know if there is no alert?

The IRIS cloud application is configured to notify a no show report when there is no alert generated. Know how to set alerts

Can move this device from one place to other although ones fixed?

Yes, you can but need to update it on your app and check that you are setting are updated.

I have AT&T do I need a separate Verizon Device?

Yes, you need to have a Verizon device as we linked up with it in the USA.

Can I buy RV pet safety device and get alerts on my AT&T or need an account with Verizon for this device?

The device works on Verizon network . It can be monitored through our  app. 

If  I place my order and get it after 3-4 weeks, I don’t need to pay for the subscription till I start using the device?

Absolutely, you don’t need to pay. The subscription money will be refined to your account with a coupon generated by us.

How will I set up IRIS account after getting the device?

Our team will call and guide you.

Can this device be used with an existing wifi “hotspot”?

No, we are partnered with Verizon wireless to communicate temperature information to the cloud in real time.
